On April 16, 2012, Janet Napolitano, the current Secretary for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and former governor of Arizona, visited UCLA and spoke at the Anderson School of Management. The Generation co-editors Rachael Cameron and Reza Hessabi had the opportunity to sit down and speak with her about a number of issues, including U.S.-Mexico relations and cybersecurity.

I found it especially interesting that cyber space, being so new and global, causes situational threats where there is no master plan for quick resolution. Sec. Napolitano made the comment that BRAIN POWER is needed NOW to develop such strategies for U.S. and U.N./international use. This sounds like the ideal field of study for bright creative minds! Thanks for the interview RC and RH at UCLA!!
Yes very interesting indeed. Secretary Napolitano definitely has a lot on her plate and seems to handle it well considering there is almost no room for error. What do you think Homeland Security is doing well? How could they do their job better?
